“I feel in love
with cycling because of the freedom it gives to you. No matter what in life
maybe troubling you can always ride long enough or hard enough to forget
about it or learn to understand it.”
Although taking nearly a year off from competitive cycling Mark has managed
to do quite well on the track this season. Currently, he is ranked top three
in two separate categories and gathering a slew of TXBRA points for the
team.
Mark first started competitive cycling in ‘01 after a group of friends
bugged him enough to enter the Fayetteville Stage race. He finished 5th in
the G.C. and hasn’t looked back since.
Mark’s biggest strength is his commitment as a TEAM player, always willing
to sacrifice for the greater good of the team. He’s also a pretty good time
trialist to boot.
Outside of cycling Mark loves spending time with his wife and two children.
Seeing them grow into young adults and helping to mold their lives is what
he says makes life so great. |
