“Cycling
has consumed me. I can not really say why. It started as a general interest
and is now my favorite thing to do. I am also way too consumed with the
technical aspect of bikes and while I wouldn’t say I am a weight weenie, I
do run foam grips and aluminum rotors.”
Allen placed top ten in the open 19-29 2006 Torture Test. He was third in
the 2006 Texas Supergrind, second at 2006 Mas o Menos, and first a the 2006
The Warda Race. He is currentrly ranked number one in both the NORBA Men
25-29 and the TMRBA Men 19-29. His goals for 2006 are to win the Beginner
19-29 2006 Texas State Spring Championship and upgrade to Sport in Fall,
when his objective is to be top ten.
Helping build a massive bridge at a local trail got Allen searching the
internet for what type of racing was available in Texas. After riding more
and more with groups of other racers, and rare MTB Racing coverage on OLN in
the summer of 2004, he decided to give racing a chance.
Tactics is what comes down for Allen as strength. He is new with structured
consistent training, so to do well, he makes the most with what he got, and
boy… he does it.
Aside from Cycling, Allen enjoys the guitar, basketball, and soccer, as well
as the search for the perfect Chicken Chimichanga.
