Cat 4 Race report

Great race. About two laps in to the race, I jumped off the front and opened up a 10 sec gap and extended that gap up to 25 sec 'till there was a wreck in the brutal second to last turn. Then the lead opened up to 35 secs.

They had to bring a ambulance out on the course so they neutralized the field and stopped us at the finish line. While waiting for us
to start again, I just turned around to see everyone huffing and puffing in pure hurt from chasing me. =) I was off the front for about 30mins almost.

After the neutral zone, they let me go for 35 secs in front of the group, well, my rhythm was thrown off after that. So, I maintained speed and let the group catch me. (by the way, they were giving all the primes to the group...so they would work to catch me)

When the group finally caught me, there were 4 laps remaining. I sat in and let everyone do the work 'till 1 lap to go.

Sugar Cycles team set up a perfect lead out for Euen (onE of there riders) so I just jumped aboard the train to VICTORY!! I out sprinted all of them.

Ronnie Strange is the Cat 4 STATE CRITERIUM CHAMPION!!
